Default need 2 insure

i had a policy with them i cancelled as i wasnt going to be using the car.

i cancelled the policy with effect on the 14/07/2012. i was told the underwriters would put it in close of accounts by the end of July and any refund would be issued end/july beginning aug.

i called beginning august no updates 'its with the underwriters' i was told. kept calling throughout august hearing same thing and being told ' we paologise but it WILL be augusts close of month accounts' called end of august no updates. called yesterday....no updates.

i just wanted to have a rant and get it off my chest....that is all.

needless to say i will not be so quick to sign up for my next policy, they were helpful in setting it up but are next to useless when a cancellation occurs.

Best people speak directly to Paul instead of creating hassle and bitching pointlessly on a forum Get the problem resolved by someone that goes the extra mile for everyone.

His colleagues have been less that helpful to me too as it happens and I wasn't very impressed I had to ring 4 times to try and obtain a quotation and in the end I gave up.

You completely miss the point. I note that you've put a big up thread about your service complete with roses and daffodils from Paul but I bet put the shoe on the other foot and you'd change your tune if you got the service that I got and it seems others too and there are a couple of threads in memory that point to a less comprehensive service from his colleagues. So what's the point of him being amazing if the others are just as shit as he is "amazing"....? You advertise your company, not yourself.

So far, I've heard of 3 people in total with bad service from Need 2 Insure, but those 3 like above who have been too half assed to resolve the problem with Paul himself i.e. look at this topic for a good example Near enough every Cossie owner has their insurance with them, as well as loads of FRS owners etc. If you've had bad service, then it's probably you that's screwed something up

Still missing the point completely and how the fuck can you cock up an insurance quotation enquiry?

Oh well, c'est la vie.

So because you're classed as uninsurable because of whatever reason from this company, you decide it's right to slate them? Jog on dipshit

I tried to get a quote from need2insure and tried to get Paul numiurous times but he was always not there, they were ok at first but did drag their heels and didn't call back when they said they would, I had to chase them up 4 times before they gave me a quote, which was a bit half arsed because he only submitted to one underwriter, no doubt if I had spoken to Paul it would have been different but he is a hard man to get hold of, I'll try again next year to see if anything has changed.

Had to go with flux in the end, again

Where at any point does it mention I was uninsurable? I spent ages chasing a quotation that they promised to look into but every time I called they had no progress on it, i.e. sounds like no attempt made to even search for a quote. Paul's colleagues were thus unhelpful and not offering what members claim they have experience on here. Paul at the time I believe was away from work for personal reasons hence not being able to speak to him directly.

Don't assume what you don't know....DIPSHIT.

What you say is true as that's what happened to me and he even admitted he hadn't even submitted my details to their underwriters, he was a nice fella though not rude or anything like that I think he was just a bit out of his depth, like I said I'll give them another chance next year and hopefully I'll get to speak to the man himself when the time comes as I still believe they are a good company as people still seem to be recommended them, so I wouldn't write them off just yet pani.

I ain't writing them off either mate, just that Paul's colleagues don't help the massive reputation he's built and yes they were nice enough to me too, just not helpful. I'll let them quote me next year too but that cock don't seem to understand any of that.

no doubt we'll be back here next year singing N2I's praises about the unbeatable service we received and how we ever got by without them,

Or NOT..... because we are uninsurable

you can f*ck right off. i have been chasing this issue with N2I for ages now, i know paul goes out of his way to help us but as stated he isnt always availble and the rest of the business isnt as forthcoming, hence the issues on here.

this is an open forum and people are allowed to discuss their opinions freely, just because we dont go direct to paul doesnt mean we shouldn't expect the same level of service from his colleagues.

I have the same problem, spoke to paul got my insurance sorted straight away, 2weeks after, took escort for mot, failed, so I thought cancel insurance, and set about restoring the car over the winter, I was told I had missed the cool down period so I had to wait for insurance company to decide how much refund I would receive, then I'm told it will take outdo 12 weeks to receive my money, what a load of bollocks, I did try and get hold of paul, but I'm informed on several accassions that he was not in the office, still waiting for dosh.

totally agree, i will try and speak to Paul again, but the problem is the other office staff, i don't think they give a monkeys to be honest, especially if they are not into cars, don't forget it's an insurance broker/company and they soon take your money, and you know what it's like to get money off them, legal theft i reckon

I have dealt with a few of the others there when changing policy details etc and found them ok, I get on with paul as most do and I know what you mean about taking money as they are a business after all

I cant fault Need2Insure one bit. I insured my Modified Classic and about to insure my Daily, both policies together it cost me less than insuring the daily alone last year....

ginge totally agree i have been insured with paul for over 10years now and i must say the rest of his staff just dont do the deals and go out of their way like paul does thing is its frustrating because he has to have employee's but there's nothing like speeking to the organ grinder.

Everyone has a opinion and if paul didnt sort mine out id go else where probably

phoned today and asked to speak to paul, which i did and got the issue sorted straight away, and paul phoned me back to let me know how much refund i would receive, must admit if you can speak to paul directly there shouldn't be any problems.

i would check your polices if your with need 2 insure. i had my focus rs though them fully modded, and agreed value, it was a great quote,
insurance was with competition car insurance.

when i rang to renew with n2i it had gone up buy £100, but cci had sent me a renewal by mistake, but it was £150 cheaper than n2i. so i went direct with cci.

anyway my point, when going over my last years insurance policy, n2i had told them that my car was a rally car that needed insurance for road use to get to stages, when i told them it wasn't they said if i had an accident or theift , the car would not of been covered!!!!!!

when i spoke to need to insure about this and to get my no claims, they just fobbed me off, and said they would ring me back, i rang 6 times and still after 2 years, i still have not had my no claims or phone call .

lucky cci agreed to to give me them,

so need to insure can suck a d1ck.

and so can that ginger sheep shagger.

so be careful lads

how do people know who to speak to without bitching on a forum? and why should only 1 person within that company seem to be able to do things right?

I always try to speak with Paul - have had problems with other people at NTI. Does not put me off though as I have been happy with them for some years now.
