played last night .. but the team mates i had really fookin sucked big time ended up no matter what happened we got 1 base left and ended up getting slaughtered everytime we spawned
even tried logging off and coming back .. never worked though

oh i've decided on the spec, ebuyer have ran out of stock on the graphics card i chose, plus i got a feeling the prices are gunna come right down soon with the new 9 series out for xmas, so i might be able to get a gtx for the same money

oh and they put the price of the cpu im getting up by £10 bastards!

got the saitek at last .. just need to work out how to set up the joystick to use in bf2 now

flying is not too bad, been shot down once or twice air to air combat is not my strong point at the minute

keyboard is on the want list as is that mouse

 

if you need a hand with the joystick give us a shout, i've done it all with my 3d pro.
best thing to do is to turn down the senstivaty for the planes and choppers (more on the choppers) until you get used to flying with the stick, then start to increase it.

as for air to air, all i can say is j10's!!! (chinas planes) they own EVERYTHING! they can out turn pretty much all the planes in the game although the f15 gives it a run for its money. stay well away from the f35 (the one that hovers) as its just crap at air to air, good for bombing though.
also a good tip is to keep the plane on bombs rather then having auto lock on, until ur in position to fire, that way the guy your chasin wont know whats hit him untill the last second
oh and never fire missles while turning, you'll never hit anything

 

start with choppers.. transport.. black hawk is the easiest

heli's im gettng the hang of now.. hovering whilst banking is hard
the planes are not that bad, found an issue with my mouse though .. on low movements its ok, but move it too fast and its like not moving it at all

 

 

We may gone get a server for our self.. its not a ranked server, but we could have fun with it anyway.
Just 1 server that i own, that is going out of this country and to an other country, without saying much more about it
But to get the load off it, i would set up VOIP true my own computer here in Norway. but this is not going to happen tomorrow, as its gone be ready in a couple of weeks

I've just built a new PC and cant find the original BF2 DVD, i still the case and code but cant install !!!
need to get back playing this now i have a pc that will run it properly!

Has anyone got a copy of this or better still somewhere i can download it from to burn myself a new copy?

ok, the ea link/downloader may have it

in the handbook it states ..
ea will replace user damaged discs for £7.50 as long as the damaged one is returned.
send cheque/postal order made payable to electronic arts ltd
remember to include full details of defect name and address and where possible a daytime phone number .

best thing to do is create an image of the disc and use daemon tools to mount it as a disc.
EA have actually said somewhere this is the best way to play the game as it removes the need for the disc to be spinning up each time you play the game ... thus removes the possibility of your pc damaging the disc.
made me wonder why they stated that , but your not the first to have a damaged disc..

 

my plan is to have a little mods on the server to
