Hi lads.
My car uses a Pectel T2 but I can't find anywhere that does diagnostics. So I want to get software and lead so I can do my own. No mapping etc just diagnostics and sensor logging.
I have a Pectel monitor downloaded from an Escos website but maybe for those ecu's. I've had some software sent to me by email by a pal who also has a T2 and his is working only on Windows 98. I'm windows 7 and it won't run, even using WIndows 98 compatibility mode
(unless it needs a lead all connected up first to work?)
I need a lead too but again no idea where to look. I have a VCDS lead but doesn't seem to work.
Anyone able to help?

I've just sold the laptop and lead I had to somebody who i thinks is running pectal, on a cossie mk2 escort, I had a lead made by my mate, it was for cossie management though, the pc also needed a serial port.
Have you had a look at the set up msd sell

This might be of use?

That lead drawing suggests it is for IAW monitor which works with the Weber Marelli L8 & P8 ECUs.
To monitor datastream from a Pectel T2 you'll need a male jack plug to 9pin serial lead and a copy of DESCPRO.

Needs to be loaded onto the laptop for the descpro to work with the ecu
You will still need the correct profile on the laptop to access the ECU even if you have Descpro and the correct lead so it depends which ones come with the Descpro install you get. There are lots of versions of Descpro and even more profiles.
That diagram above is totally wrong for what you need cable wise. You need a simple TX/RX/Comms Ground cable. (3 wires)
You may also find that the ECU is locked as well.
Good luck!

I've emailed Mountune themselves to ask if they can help with any of it with regard to profiles etc as they mapped it but awaiting their response. But I know a lad with a T230 and same ecu as mine who has been successful in getting the software working. He got his from Paul Hills but my laptop doesn't like it for some reason (as said in first post)
Does the lead and everything have to be connected for the software to load or should it load up anyway?

As I say Martin, I know a lad who has his T230 running on the software and his is locked and he can see what each sensor is showing up in real time.
Bump...removing my SCS T38 and installing a new EFR turbo so need a cable to tune the T2. Anyone able to help me out with where I can get a cable or drawings so I can make one?
