Havent really added anything on this one but had this for months now. I used to complain and moan about the condition of the other one this ones even worse!
Some may know the car used to be an ex rallycross car previously built to group N spec. The car has been since converted to a circuit car.

Wow, was gonna say that must shift, but looking at that shaft, I guess not all the time!
What sort of numbers are you talking there - rally cross is anything goes isn't it?
Iain
Struggled to heat up the tyres early on then checked I had 35psi in them so dropped 10psi out of them. Need a steep learning curve really to get this competitive again.
Just discovered your two threads: two seriously cool EscCos you have! Is this car the Escort Pat Doran ran years ago?
Dont think it was pat's his was a gen WRC shell once rallied by Mr Sainz, Well spec'd car non the less, what diffs? also i thought current spec yb for JG would have ran a Tibuc inlet?

No wasnt a pat doran car. I think it was andy grants ex rallycross car.
GT grippers front and back. Yes thats the only thing it hasnt got being an individual throttle bodied inlet it didnt comply to the race regs it used to race in. Quite a few of the rallycross boys are changing back to mis inlets. The mag MIS inlets produce more bhp whereas the tibuc make higher torque.

Cheers for the info chaps! I've not seen much in print about any of the rallycross EscCos, so I'm always keen to learn more where I can.
If you skip to around 3:20 of this video, you can see how fast this car can be, the way it accelerates away from Rod Birley's escort on the start was awesome to watch, shame the propshaft came undone and it didn't make it round 1 lap
Started to start to clean up the shell ready to go off to be painted. The inside had been painted with household paint so had to remove it and ended up taking the inside and engine bay back to bare metal
The engines gone off to Julian for a general check over and remap back onto 98 fuel.
A new arrival:
