Thinking of outing my sapphire 4x4 for a focus RS, was wondering what they are really like? I see lots of people on here running big power from them but are hey still driveable? Your input would be great!!

Big fun mate get one in good condition with as low miles as possible, because I found out after 70/80k is where the wear and tear comes in unless one has had things like
Cambelt, water pump, brakes, clutch ect but pick on condition and not spec
Then mod it with the standard turbo and look for around 300 bhp and they are great fun and very responsive , and you could easily out drive a 400+ bhp cossie
You would need
Turbo back exhaust with decat and uprated flexi pipe
Decent charge cooler rad or fmic
Tubular manifold
Forge actuator running direct
Decent filter
And defo an uprated fuel pump because it's always overlooked
Then Pete at demon performance does the best remaps for these hands down
I've had two and the only reason I've not got one is because I've brought a mk2

yeah they are good. The grip they find is fantastic, the power as standard is average,
but get them up to around 300 bhp and they can be a ridiculously effective fast road car.

Focus RS is a great car, owned one for nearly 3yrs previously, bought a Sapph again (3rd one) last July, personally the Sapph just puts more of a smile on my face when I open up the garage door and take it out for a blast, that counts for alot with me, both great cars... Decisions decisions!!! Lol.
