Default handling

hi i bought an orion at beginning of week it drove fine i lowered it yesterday ad got it tracked properly but now when i drive 60mph and over the car sways left and right the faster i got the more it sways what could it be.

On a serious note are you 100% certain it was tracked up properly? Is it acually pulling or is it tram lining?

dont worry orion is just everyday car got mk4 escort with rs2000 in lol
whats tram lining its not a pull as such its asif wind blows car and it veers left and right thts al i can describe it as however i do like orions lmao

Only joking mate, i don't mind orions. By tram lining i mean following the dips in the road.

not tram lining then its like shell moving different way to chassis or as im was shaking wheel left and right

Did you get just tracking or full alignment checked? Maybe lowering has affected camber angle. Depends how much you lowered it by for that to have much impact mind.

How much have you lowered it buy? What did you use, springs? Full coilover kit?

not sure how low it is but only got front wheels tracked i got told they couldnt do out with camber cos its bein lowered

Was it done at a garage or at a specialist? Can't see how they couldn't at least checked the camber, even if they couldn't adjust it

sorry missed a post its got koni adjustbles on the front and just springs on the back. i took it to a garage they tracked it to stop it pulling but said cause its lowered they cant do out with cambe angle

It's not that they can't do anything with the camber because it's lowered, they can't do anything because it's not adjustable. If it has been lowered a lot then it will have a lot more negative camber than standard. With that in mind, a standard toe setting is not likely to be the best thing for it. The thing to do would be to try it 2 degrees in then 2 degrees out and see what effect this has.

Go to somewhere that does computer alignment. I know ATS do it out of the multiples. You at least need to know the camber angles as well as toe, to see if these are the cause.
