turning up boost with air injectors.?
hi all.... i have a prob with my 2wd saff. its got a turbo technics t38 and i cant get the boost to go over 25psi. it should run 30 psi and is running air injectors. it runs 25psi with no pre load on the actuator and i was told to raise the boost a little by shortening the actuator arm. i have tried this and it makes no difference at all.. i have checked for air leaks and can find none. any ideas please..?
thanks

had a good look about mate nothing obvious although im suspecting a possible bad seal of the air temp sensor under the inlet manifold (wrc copy)
looks like im up at 6 tom as its my rolling road day-booo!

you have to be careful as your tuner might have capped the boost at low revs to stop it surging and you are gonna fit a bleed valve and fook it up.
Shortening the arm will make no difference as the air's will compensate.
I would go see the person that mapped it as see what they say.

when it was set up originally with my old turbo but still with air injectors they turned the boost up to fine tune it by using the actuator. it now has a chip to run the new turbo... when i rang last week for some info was told it should run 30psi and probably had an air leak .. ive checked and am sure their is not.. ill get on the phone tomorrow .... as soon as it starts making boost it flies straight to 25 and stays their.. if not ill just leave it as it is..

If air's are like boost controllers, actuator should not make a diff. from what I've been advised that airs run unlimited if a pipe comes off.
wouldn't risk it personally, did they not remap the boost curve for the new turbo if not whats the point of having them?
if it has an air leak and you turn it up in the meantime and you fix the leak it will overboost on next run and cost you.
