AE86 is fine, just replaced the alternator, and cant be arsed to finish it off, lol.

Sooo needs a decent engine, like a 200SX one...

Well the other night i did the inside with a brush and a tin of matt black paint.

Checked this evening and it looked SHITE

Finish was fine, but was more like dark grey than black.

So went over it quickly with a can of Matt Black and looks loads better Looks pretty fucking hard actually

If im not off my tits all weekend ill try n get some spraying done...

Ooooh, decided to be productive yesterday afternoon....

I saw my car, and saw an angle grinder, and thought hmm, lets cut a hole in the bonnet...



It looks mean, but main reason is to help airflow thru the rad, ie help it escape easier. 5min job that, didnt even measure it etc, didnt have owt to measure it with!
Making the hole straight consisted of some random acts with gaffa tape and a block of wood i found, but it worked...

Then I decided to rub the car down with some crappy sanding sponges I found...



Then I found my old Work Equips off my GTR and they looked a bit sorry for themselfs, so i stripped off a bit of flaking paint with a wallpaper scraper, lol, and made them look even worse, lol...


But then I broke out the wonderous god-like magic that is Halfords Matt Black rattlecans

And BLAMMO

The car...






The wheeeeels...


And best of all, check em out together...

Only 235/45s. They can do on the back as I got 4 to waste, and im not buying any more tyres for nothing, kill these first.
Can get 265s on the back with a lil bit of work.

Got some 215/40s ill put on the fronts. Could go a lot wider, but as its mainly street drift rather than competition i dont need ultra wide front or rear as it wont be 80mph+ drifting.

tell you what that is the perfect profile for that car, with a little arch beating anyway lol,

i had 40 profile on my 18s and the looked tiny in the arches,

i want another one, fookin unreliable but fairly cheap fun

The arches are gonne be flared to fuck anyhow front and rear, need to to get them rims on. Just not done it yet, got a arch roller/flarer to use tho, so coming v.soon...

Yes, one model of early 80s Corolla (basically the sporty RWD model), Toyotas version of the Mk2 Escort.
RWD 1.6 16valve. Live rear axle. Very light. Cult/Classic car.
Woth fucking loads, they go for 5k minimum these days for a half decent one, even complete sheds go for 3k.

Where else? Apart from where they come from (ie Japan) where the worth even more than here, the best place to look is their spiritual home, the land where every young lad grows up wanting an AE86 on minilites and a janspeed exhaust, and theres not a single piece of tarmac without donut tyre marks on it...

Aye, Dans Sierra is a proper minter, almost comedy that its so mmint, considering its over 20years old and a base model, its just in a 1000 bits so looks a bit sorry for itself.

Saturday was a funny day tho, but we got a lot done, properly winging it tho, was like "will this work? fuck knows, ill do it anyway"
