I have a 351 cleveland v8 waiting to be picked up,and a 1982 5 door sierra. Plan is a jet black track car,on 909 suspension,rose jointed rear beam etc.,but as engine is in bits already,i was planning on single turboing the car,as per the yank mustangs,but am open to engine ideas.
As much fabrication as possible will be done by myself,but i was thinking blow through holley (4 barrel n/a at moment) instead of injection.
And before stavros tears me apart for knowing fook all about v8 turbo's,i would like to say he know's fook all about rs500 touring cars!

The RS500 joke is wearing thin though, esp as I bet 99% of this forum wouldnt have known either
Update at mo is this, i took the engine out the other day, mainly as it made it easier to take the alternator off to fit to my S12, and also to trial fit the V8...

What thoughts? Oh you mean about using a blow-thru? Thats a good plan IMO, cheap and works well, commonly done, was what I was gonna do at 1st.
Know fuck all about the Cleavland engine though, so cant help you there.
Id much rather give it a go than a Zetec tho.

BIG UPDATE! Immagrents (DEY TUK UR JERBS ) with brown skin and different accents came and commited a terrorist act against my car Quick, Deport anyone with a slight tan or non english sounding surname!
Not really, now ive got the RB26 powered Chaser I decided I cant be arsed with this shit and have broke it for bits and they going like wildfore on another forum.
Keeping loads of the bits too though, need em...
Shell with diff etc still on it going too, I predict it wont be there for long, only asking 250 notes, doubt youd get a totally fucked S2 shell for that will you?

I have various V8s, theres the mega one which i havent a home for but still building up slowly, a mega basic twin turbo one which is almost done and will go in whatever sierra i can find when done, just anything to get the engine in a car, and another one which is just in bits at mo and is gonna be used for work purposes...

I am getting a g reg supra turbo for 150 queen heads and the engine and box are going in my mk1 sierra. It's the 7m-gte engine,and i need info on tuning options and wiring (engine loom),or info on upgrading the management with a new engine loom,any info you might know would be most helpful.
There was a widearch red xr4i on the cover of fast/performance ford that ran this engine i think,do you remember it?

The XR4i you on about had the VG30 300ZX twin turbo engine mate.
The Supra engine, even the old one you got, is way better tho IMO.
First job is change the head gasket and bolts for uprated ones, after that they strong as fuck, and the standard CT26 is nearly as big as a RS500 T4!

a rebuild is deffo on the cards as it was a bit smokey after being stood for 3 years,but i am using the supra to do croft,as i don't think my mk2 escort is up to the task!
