Default Just plain stupidly fast

How about 222mph in a Nissan Quashquia. Latest Vmax don't expect mine to compete with that in 2016 that's just plain silly .

Shame there wasn't a slow motion replay!? Bit quick that....

Oh well, at least you have a benchmark to aim for Rod! I bet if that was the shape of a 1980's Sierra, it would be a bit slower...

I wouldn't be surprised if it's worse than a Sierra. They're the big 4x4 things aren't they?

I was there on Saturday. What an amazing event!
I had the use of a 620hp 997 turbo s cab(!) for the day.
Some beautiful machinery there, great to see it being used in anger!
Highlights for me were lining up alongside a Laferrari and getting ahead of him off the line(perhaps he wasn't trying?!)
Clocked '193 indicated' (actual speeds haven't been released yet)over the line time and time again but just couldn't top it. Just goes to show how much power you need to get the big boy 200!
Bloody addictive!

Here's me vs the big fezza...

You now know just how blinkered it is to call Topspeed running boring. Ultimate Adrenaline rush & as you say addictive. Anything over 190 is a very fast car but around 100bhp short of 200mph. Lets not talk about that 222mph that's just mind blowing.

I wouldn't say it's blinkered, the fact that it appeals to you doesn't nessecarily mean it appeals to others.

I've no interest in top speed running or a magic number to chase, but I can imagine it's a thrill to you.

Are you interested in incredibley fast road cars? If so how do you think a car that can hit these speeds feels on the move

The rows of car show bufty queens would say the same about those that slate their game. Or possibly not, maybe theyre not so blinkered.

I think you didn't quite understand what I ment:

I've no interest in topspeed record chasing like Rod is, but I think I understand what the thrill is for him.

Ofcourse these cars are insanely fast and ofcourse are very impressive, it's just that I'm not interested spending my time and money chasing these records.

I've recently bought a streetlegal dragbike because I love tinkering with silly bikes and I love playing aroudn with them on her majesty's roads but I've no interest in competing on a dragstrip and I don't care how fast it'll do the quarter mile (though I know it's errr...fast!)

There'd be a lot more money than that in some, and a hell of a lot more in the Qashqai !!

Building cars to that sort of level sure isnt cheap, and 220+ is one hell of a level.

The GTR platform really is something special when it comes to going fast.

Top speed running isnt always exciting, huge wide runways can easily mask any real feeling of speed....but polishing cars etc is boring as fuck lol I'd sooner try and go fast than polish the crap out of the car for a bird to come and shit on it. Cars are for driving.

I couldn't even begin to imagine what the labour cost would be on the qashqai for the chassis swap alone, then the cost of both it and the gtr. One of those spiralling cost projects i would imagine.

Labour does it really come into it if your building it yourself as they have with that ? So your looking at base car gtr running gear and mods to level of tune way more than 200k+ mmm can't see it

id expect they would be factoring in labour costs as although they own the tuner they will be paying wages to their guys working on it.
