Today news about Drift Central got me thinking...
I need to finish my fucking car.
I couldve got it done months and months ago, but frankly, im not that arsed about cars, well, not so much that, i LOVE cars, but i hate working on them and not arsed to do it.
But im wasting my time if im not doing it, and im seeing people who started way after me becoming miles better than me, and that sucks anal, so i best get on with it.
Also looked at the car and realised what a pretty awesome spec it has, suspension wise its pretty much got the lot, enough for top competition use, never mind a lame drifter like me!
Anyhow i made a list of stuff left to do, luckily most it fitting, as bought most of it, but some needs buying too.
Heres the list, in no real order, just the order it came into my head... (if i say BUY or GET MADE i havent got it yet, if i say FIT or whatever, i already own it...)
Buy/fit fuel cell.
Buy fit different brake lines (as i got R33GTST brakes now)
Fit the Tein steering arms and spacers.
Fit the uprated rack bushes and column bush.
Fit some front indicators.
Buy/fit alloy rad
Fit cossie rad fans.
Fit some rear numberplate lights.
Fit line lock and hydro handbrake.
Buy/fit bucket+harness.
Get downpipe modded for new turbo.
Fit exhaust.
Mod pipe that goes from manifold to wastegate.
Make a screamer pipe.
Mod the bonnet some more.
Fit F+R strut braces.
Buy the SC pulleys+belt.
Get the SC mounts made.
Get SC inlet+outlets made.
Get SC tensioner made.
Get turbo braces made.
Fit GTR injectors.
Fit adj FPR.
Possibly buy/fit 5th inj (may or may not need it).
Fit Z32AFM.
Fit HD Stg3 ECU.
Fit new big turbo+manifold.
Fit electric PAS pump.
Fit 044 pump.
Cut out and replace wheel well.
Bin off fuel tank.
Buy/fit boost/water/vac/fuel/brake lines.
Buy/fit uprated clutch+flywheel.
Prob fix geabox mount as tink i will fuck it when i remove it (badly theaded ).
Swap over my front tyres.
Buy 2x W.I. jets and activation switch.
Get WI tank made.
Fit oil cooler + catch tank.
Fit battery in boot.
Get suspension geometry set up.
Somehow get it thru an MOT
I think thats it, but its such a long list ive prob forgot summat.
Stupid thing is, after all that mega spec, it wont be even close to UKDC or EDC spec, lol Might be close to Eurodrift Novice spec, dunno, but im shit still anyhow but no bother.
Would love a cage tho, bigtime, but thats not a small ting is it...

I know what you mean about loving cars but not working on them. But saying that I haven't had to touch the bmw and I find myself missing a bit of spannering now and again If i got a project I just know it would take me years to finish.

I turned over a whole new leaf of non-lazyness today and actually bothered to work on the car for the first time in months!
Removed the PAS as I knew itd get in the way of the supercharger, gonna run an electric pump instead.
Test fitted the tubular manifold to see how much room i had to fit the s/c where i wanted it.
Answer was, NONE! Fuckfuckfuck, didnt realise the mounts was as close as they were.
Test fitted the turbo to see hot it sat...
Turned out i needed to clock the compressor housing to aim the right way, luckily im used to taking turbos to bits so i didnt mind.
Also realised how fucking huge it is too, lol, s/c deffo needed.
Then test fitted s/c to work out where the FUCK its gonna go, as its clearly not going where the a/c used to go, which is where i thought id put it.
1st idea was post throttle as part of the inlet manifold, like the Bee-R S15, but that sucks really as charge temps will be sky high still.
Also sucked as pipework would be complex, as would the fabrication work.
2nd idea was facing the opposite way to the engine, but would mean having a custom shape rad, and still having a shit long pipe run.
3rd idea took some figuring out but seems to work well, short pipe run, plenty of room for it, pre intercooler still, BUT will need a fair size crank nose extension which MAY (i dont know, but in my head it would) strain the big end bearings a lot, as itd kinda like attatching a long cracker bar to undo a nut or whatever...
Also, for mounting, i think solid metal engine mounts will make life easier too in this setup, as i can use the shell for mounting the charger, rather than the engine.
And well, thats it for now, but its looking a little easier than expected suddenly, so its good.

I got a Z32 one, its bloody massive compared to most AFMs, but not as big as a Q45 one, but still 3inch internal bore IIRC.
I had a Q45 throttle on my RB engine, they hooj too, 95mm or something daft!
I actually know of a Q45 engine, and 2 turbos, and a supercharger it seems, going into a 200SX in the UK :Eek:

Heres a nice big update...
When i bought this car it was, and was used for, exactly what i planned, a basic hardcore drift motor to cane the shite out of, and i did.
Then i blew the engine, and got totally carried away with the mods and its still not finished and is some insane spec.
Building an awesome car that ive not got the skills to drift to its full potential is gay as fuck and just not me, infact i feel a bit ashamed im straying from my hardcore streeto rootes.
So I bought one of my cars older brothers to go get back out on the wand while i finish the S13...
Its a fair old yoke, 72k on it, MOT till middle of next Feb, i reckon it will diff up good...

Was featured in JTuner, cover car IIRC.
Just a road car really, quad rotor 26B engine, like the 787B LeMans cars, never been timed etc.

quick update to say... S12 is awesome, lol.
fuck power, this things got less than 135bhp, but drive it right and it rocks.
just took greg (bigwig) out for a 2hour "test drive" and he can confirm it was prob the most fun had with cars in years, couple of times couldnt see anything but smoke, comin into roundabouts at 70 in 3rd, all kinds of fun n games, lol.
same again tomoro i think,lol
