oooh, big new shit style update...

I got paid the other week so finally ordered from DRIFTWORKS....
Tein tie rods, Piro tie rod ends, poly rack bushes, alloy steering bush, front tension rods, steering rack spacers, etc etc etc (etc means I forget :wack.

They arrived quickly, look top quality, and instructions too, which is always handy!

Just got to fit ALL that now, doh...

When I was doing the front hubs I managed to fuck one of the front ARB link thingys, but as luck would have it my mate Paul at Japspeed just had some with poly bushes come in, so I grabbed a set of them, see how theyd fair.

He also sent me some lightweight pullys too that he is convinced dont fit quite right (were an experermental batch) but I said id try fit em and tell him whats up with em.
They look cool at least, lol, and weigh literally nowt.

(Notice the new DW stickers in the above pic, looks the bollocks methinks)

Last sat I decided to get cracking on the rear of the 5stud conversion.
Its a pain in the arse, but got the worst of it done, putting it back together seems pretty easy.

With regard to brakes, ive managed to secure a full front and rear brake setup off an R33 GTST, im presuming its gonna be a straight swap on to the S14 5stud hubs, but im sure it wont be :wack:
Ill pick the brakes up sometime this week.

Also managed to get the hydro handbrake bolted up in the right place, jus need to plumb it in now...

Heres a good one...

People have mentioned the new wheels being wide, and low offset, and will they fit, and all that, well check this out...

STANDARD arches, no wide arch kit or arch extensions, just sitting on the driveway with an arch roller...

ET12 10.5x18 on the front, and 13x18 on the rear, with a MINUS 10 (yes, ET-10) offset
245 fronts, and 285 rears

"Will those wheels fit your car?" Fucking EVERYTHING will fit if you try

Honestly, not sure.

Think 9 and 10 by 17.

Or 8.5 and 9.5

No idea what offset, but sits right on the edge of the GTRs arches so must be ET20 or less.

No markings tho, and yet to measure, but i dont care, just flare em till they fit

Woo, just bought some new rims
I now have 14 of them

New ones are about as "JDM Tyte, Yo" as you can get, Kei Office Keiichi Tsuchiya rims, the same ones thats on the S14 used in the famous Drift Bible DVD

Cost me 100quid with tyres The guy obv didnt realise what they were, but I did, and snapped em up

To be honest idve had em regardless of what they were as I needed spares to take drifting with me.

They dont look anything special, just white 16inch 5spokes with a slight dish, but they famous rims, and cheap as fuck, so ideal

ET35 7x16 and ET32 8x16

sell some of the spare rims then

lol

Will ring you tomorrow night about the afm's m8

Turns out the fuel pressure is ok, only .5bar down at idle but hits 4bar when on full boost so seems thats not causing the problem

Not got any pics yet, Renton said he'l take some for me 2moro, but ive got Skyline R33GTST brakes front and rear now

Think they 300mm disks and 4pots on the front, and 285s and 2pots on the rear

I bought them before TOTB and before the wheels above, but forgot to mention it

Id LOVE an S15 front, but is a lot of work and money, and this is a low budget job.

When I smash it up ill change the front end to a Silvia one tho as that all bolts straight on in 30mins.

Heres the R33 Skyline brakes

And heres random pics of my car in lots of bits.

Oh, and when I was down the workshop Friday with Charlie and Laura they decided to take their clothes off, so who was I to stop them...

Update!!!!!

Car runs! Got a tiny battery from some car or other so now i got a FMIC and a front mounted battery.

Car still not ready as its a complete fucker to get the tie rods out! How the fuck you do it?! They look clean as a whistle, but cant get em out!

Finishing the 5stud conversion was a mission too!
Pressing the 5stud bit out the main hub is a pain, but did it on the front easy enough by hammering the bolts, but couldnt do the rear at all.
Seemed no problem, I have a set of 3ton pullers!
But even with them it took a LOT of hammering to get em out even with 3ton of pressure too!

But, as a bonus, Benny Boy Linney, builder of the insane Cossie RX7 on the cover of the current issue of Redline, has sent me a bodykit!

But what is it? I have no fucking idea, lol
I think its URAS skirts at least as they say Monkey on em, but the rest, I dunno.

Should be one cool matt black muthafucker soon!

Update...

I decided to fit my comedy sunstrip (on my OWN, anyone whos ever fitted a sunstrip knows how much of a fucking STUPID idea that is :smash: ), try on my new front bumper, and paint my bonnet mounted towing eye a comedy colour too...

Heres the results...

If you dont get the sunstrip, good, your not meant to, lol.

Basically its a pisstake of the D1 sunstrips.
S1 is the pisstake name we call streeto, ie street drifting, as its pretty frowned upon for obvious reasons.

Always wise not to actually have any mention of the word "drift" on your cars, as it kinda ruins your "it was an accident officer" when the police pull you for doing a 3rd gear drift down a sliproad
Then again, i got 2 small driftworks stickers on my front wings, shit
