Not sure yet, i might save up and go vipec and then get Mark to do it as he's on my doorstep or if i stay standard management ill use nms possibly. See how she runs first with a quick trip to motorwork behind Mark to see what the fueling is like. I wouldnt mind using it next year as is if the fueling is ok set at say 380 - 400bhp then i can do the shows etc and save some money up in the mean time, ive spent alot on it getting it like this.

Yes Pete 3071r, with machined .63 escort cossie exhaust housing with internal wastegate, came from Martin Reyland.

Here's a crappy iphone pic of it back in the garage at home, still got a few bits to do to it like replace the front brakes to Brembos, get a 63mm - 63mm boost pipe and a black cooler to throttle body pipe to complete my set. I purchased a roof lining kit a while back so will be fitting that at home over the winter as well as the secs monitor i got, so will still be updating the thread for the people who've been having a look,

Bit of a small update, spent today fitting a new fan loom for the saph as the old wiring has had it and the fans weren't reliable enough to come in when they should, so fitted this.

Well as some of you may know i took the cossie out the other friday for a little run round the block, so first drive for nearly 18 months and since its all been taken apart etc so wanted to check for noises squeeks etc. Well on the way back i toe'd it just a little to much and blew the headgasket and radiator apart due to the head gasket letting go ![Surprised](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/bigcry.gif)

So i sent the head away to be pressure tested and skimmed etc which came back with good news that the head i ok but needed 6 thou taken off so at least i know that is dead flat etc,
This is obviously the block! but i measured it across with a straight edge and could get a 2 thou feeler gauge under it in places so this has all got to come out now to be machined itself, so why its apart im gonna have reyland machine valve cut outs in my pistons to help slightly with the compression side of it due to the machining ive had done and also there is now scope for lumpy cams if needed

So once all the machining is done im gonna fit a multi layer steel gasket from reyland, get it running again and then tiggle it over to him for a live map as ive never had any of my cossies mapped before so im really looking forward to see how well the GT3071 can perform on a sound engine mapped, should be a good drive home, will update once i get the head and block back,
If it makes it home ok then it will be for sale lol
Not!!

Possibly by next week i should imagine, still looking at getting it mapped with Martin, but i also asked stu at msd about a chip when it first went bang so ill see what option suits me best, maybe a chip for now for time wise so i can get to some shows then get it mapped, or just have a live map with martin straight away im not sure.
Got some bits all cleaned up this afternoon ready to go back in, crank, main caps, oil pick up pipe and also fitted a brand new h/p oil pump, just waiting on a few bits and the block then i can get the pistons etc back in and lower the block back in the car,

Been struggling to find anywhere that does repair kits for them other than mitsibushi as they want £80 a caliper going by the lancer forums, f@@k that, pm me the best price ian and ill weigh the options up, did you check to see if the pistons where seized or any rubbers split?
