Ive not set eyes on em for ages mate. The rubbers werent split last time I had them in my hand and I know they were all working fine when they came off the car. They've been sat in the cupboard for a few years so will need a bit of a free off but they aint fooked and in need of a rebuild imo.

Bit of an update, got my block and pistons back from the machinist yesterday, after speaking with the machinist we decided that if i wasnt going down the road of high lift cams was to skim the crowns of the pistons which we've done, now the pistons sit a fair bit under the deck height rather than protruding from it. Next i fitted a new burton pinto h/p pump with my top hat and spray bar, new bearings, honed the block and fitted the pistons in.
Basically after that i refitted the block to the car,

I also recieved my chip from MSD to suit my injectors and turbo,

plus i have just ordered my wrc m/l gasket and head bolts from matt lewis, will hopefully have the head back on, rad coming from james90rs (cheers mate) so should have it running again the weekend

Rad sent today on 2-3 day courier

So you've decked the pistons rather than pocketing them?

Will be a beast once all setup mate

Yeah just skimmed them James, im not number chasing etc i just want a nice useable engine with say 400ish bhp and for it to be thrashable and reliable, if it makes that power i shall be happy, a 400bhp cossie is still a quick enough car for a summer run around etc.

Well she runs , recieved my rad from James off here to start with on friday, also got me bits from MSD and Matt Lewis, (cheers) So friday my first job was to assemble the head and manifolds ready to go back on, degreased the faces and then laid the wrc gasket in place and torqued the two together.
Once the head was on i fitted the turbo and then the rad, timed it all up etc, put some oil in then it was time for the big turn on (again!!) cranked it over without the coil lead on till the oil light went out then connected it up and she fired straight up, instant 80psi oil pressure which i was really happy with, comes down to about 70psi when hot but literally dab the throttle and it hits nearly 90psi, ive driven it round the block a few times and all seems well no pressurising of the coolant system this time all that is needed now is to set a few bits like boost and co then have a dyno run to make sure all is ok, here's a few pics of it back together and in the garage,

I have for now mate yeah, see how things progress.

Right i spent today removing my roof lining and side pads, it was then time to remove the old cloth and glue, christ i dont know what is worse lying on my back scraping sealer off the floor pans when i done the underside or scraping that bloody glue off either way its done and i took my time replacing the cloth with new, hope you like,

before, i didnt realise it was in such a bad way as it didnt look half as bad when in the car

Ha Ha, its not for sale mate, ive had 4 now and this being the 4th, its only done 95k original miles although its undergone all this work etc, handfull of owners, full history etc etc so i think its a keeper for now, the paintwork has a few marks etc in it and things that annoy me when i clean it but the paintwork is about the only part of the car i havnt touched yet ive pretty much down everything else

I'll have a look through my feedback James as the parcel still had the postage date on so i should be able to match them up, then see if he's still selling them.

The sellers id is (as-trim) he doesnt seem to be advertising that kit anymore but he is selling others so if people were to email him im sure he will sort you out,
this is a similar kit http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/3M-Headlining-...item3f08b80f24

Ian you need to pm me your best price on those calipers!! still not sure whether they will fit behind my wheels ? need measurements from outer face of disc to outer edge of caliper so i can see if its much wider at that point than the 4 pot, i can then see if it will touch the wheel or not, also whats going on with your saph ?

I managed to take the passengers seat out and slightly curve it through the door aperture, you will also require a hot melt glue gun as in the pic you can see the rectangle recessed part of the lining, well on the reverse side of that it was glued to the car with two long lines of hot melt glue.

Paul,

I saw the car at central day, very nice indeed mate

I would have introduced myself but no one was around the car, so you must have been looking round the show or watching the track action

Oh right yeah i did leave the bonnet up, its tidy enough for an old brown taxi , i should of pm'd you my mob number so we could of had a chat mate. It was ok to and from central day the only issue i had was it being a bit rich and puffing a bit of blue on tickover which ive now found out that i put 10/40 oil in it and i usually use 15/40 so i changed it for that yesterday and the issue had stopped, plus i fitted a group a coil yesterday which has allowed me to increase the plug gap and that has given it a nice tickover now, so with these two issues fixed i can get the co down to where it should be.

Right thought as the weather was nice i would nipp the cossie down to Motorworx in Marlow for a dyno run, i was quite pleased with the outcome, power is good but the fueling is slightly rich still so something to look into at some point,
