We certainly can do yes, but be aware that many dyno's show a YB as too rich when air temps are high in teh dyno cell and the boost is artifically low due to lack of dyno load.

If you are certain that both temp and boost replicated real road conditions for your car there send us the chip with a note saying exactly what AFR you had with what boost and we can tweak it to suit.

Ill have a look through the graphs etc and have a think, im happy with the chip Stu, i think its made good power for an "off the shelf chip" its drives nice, cold start is mint and the power delivery etc is quality well happy.

It is a little laggy pete, also is down 12ft/lb on torque compared to the last turbo, is still a quick car when you drive it, im happy with it, its safe and im not number hunting so happy days. Sort the fueling so its slightly leaner if need be or maybe add some more boost and im sure the torque will come up a bit if i need to.

Paul, my old saff had a graph similar tbh, 442bhp/360ft/lb BUTTTTTTTT, it drove alot better on the road than the grpah suggested and i'm guessing yours is similar??

Good on ya mate, glad you're pleased.....

Yeah its a complete animal compared to what it was like before, the only issue is lag, its holding 2.1 bar of boost with a nice steady flat line nearly right up to the rev limiter, maybe the chip could do with a bit more ignition low down to help spool it up quicker if that would work? other than that i dont really know why the torque would drop, could it be exhaust housing as its only a .63 ? plus im only running standard ports, inlet, cams etc no inlet spacer

aye, steve xr4i is the man to talk to, his YB made nearly 100ftlbs more torque on his t38 Iirc with just the ab07 alone!

Btw ab stands for ahmed bayjoo

Well ive had a little play with the car the last few days, ordered some bist and pieces consisting of coilovers, amber indicators, hid kit, evo brembo calipers, focus rs discs .
Recieved the coilovers yesterday.

so this afternoon i set to fitting them, to be honest they were pretty easy to do. I set the ride height outside on some nice flat concrete and these are some pics of how it sits now,

a little pic of the ambers

So hopefully tomorrow will bring some calipers and discs for me, ill then have to make some bracket's to fit them and hopefully they'll clear my wheels ok.

Well after having the block and head machined for a multi layer gasket i also had the pistons machined to compensate for what was removed by me and also in the past and i went slightly to low which has made it a bit laggy, so i would say it starts around 3k maybe a bit less

How low has it went im running 7.2:1 on the same turbo, just had the fueling checked today and need more fuel low down on the msd chip as it starts making boost at 1500 rpm.

I honestly dont know mate, ive spoken to msd this week and they said they will map it for me and take the price of the chip i had from them off , After fitting the coilovers today and giving it some it seemed alot better, now its putting the power down instead of squatting its arse and bouncing around , Also maybe its partly me expecting it to pick up like my old t35 .55 used to. You can drive round the lag by just keeping the revs up as once its moving its alot better than pull away, i mean if you look at the dyno its just bogged down in fourth then held flat out so its gonna take time to spool up in those conditions i spose, im not saying thats how it should be just saying you can partly counteract it.

Ah they were easy to make bud,

Well today is set to making a template for the caliper brackets, once made i shot over to a friends machine shop and knocked these up,

After that it was a trip to raceparts for some bits and pieces to make the new front braided brake lines up. You have to grind some of the caliper to allow it to sit over your hub lugs so it sits nice and level otherwise it sits at an angle which i personnaly dont think looks as good.

A few randoms,

Gives you an idea on how big the brembos are!

To be honest its the first cossie or car even thats ever had a decent brake upgrade, i really wish i had done it sooner, stamp on these and your face comes off so christ knows what the ap kits must be like.

Grooved focus rs discs £100
brembos with pads and pins etc £150
brackets (free as i made them myself)
braided lines £24 and made them also

So you can do this conversion for sub £300!

Txt is a bit small, basically it says on the left to remove that part of the caliper a bit at a time till it fits nice, then on the other side it says to grind down that web on both sides also to allow your bracket to sit nice and flat against the caliper.

Right took the car out for a spin tonight and it started puffing a bit of blue on tickover when its hot, it may be nothing it may need valve guide seals, ive spent in excess of a grand on this car in the last week alone, with brand new gaz coilovers, new brakes, etc you can see by the resto on how good the car is, ive just had enough i hardly use it and when i do stuff like this happens so its the last straw for me, £5750 takes it away, NO PX'S or offers, its a bloody cheap car at that even with the puff of blue.

just see the for sale thread, which sent me here, top work, bugger about the blue smoke, but stick it in the garage for a week or 2 and take your mind off it. Come to your senses and dont let it go for peanuts!

As i read this is your 4th cosworth and its a keeper.

If I wernt trying to sell my house and move, i'd be on my way to Oxford in the morning with cash, before you changed your mind!
