I feel for you I really do. You must be at the point now where you really know in your heart of hearts that its not going to be ready despite the fact that its been gone what 2.5 years and no doubt you have sent him thousands of pounds. No matter how many people go through this people still send him work. Just so hard to believe really.

I have had some lovely updates this week to show it is on track and most of the metal work done. I am getting very excited now

The extra space here is due to the actual gearbox being the Oppliger long box.

Chassis rails

Who doesn’t love a dimpled hole?

romian oppliger added a 22mm (Ish) spacer to allow room for the bigger gear set. It pushes the back of the box further down the car, that’s all

good question, I am going to get my body shop mate to have a look, most likely is body colour but with a hardener or rhino liner, something tough. Might just have it glossy like the top of the car and have a paint protection film over, the joints will have a very thin tiger seal, I expect. It is having WRC stands under there too.

Its 25mm longer due to middle spacer, front prop will need a spacer or lengthened (i had mine extended and balanced), rear has enough adjustment albeit in an Escos, i run the sequential in my Escos.

I had a new front prop made along with a new rear, my car is 22cm shorter on the back so had shorter prop anyway (original was out of balance) plus the supra diff has the spacer ‘ adapter although if the rear prop needs changing due the engine having moved quite a way back I will have it made with a supra rear flange.

That's coming along nicely, looks good!

My OCD would make me worry about keeping it all clean inside those dimpled covers though

I know what you mean. I will get an under body lance for the steam cleaner and I often cleaned it up on the ramps anyway.

Well, with my holiday looking like it was about to get cancelled a couple of weeks ago I thought I would be able to get my motorbike test done (what little did I know). I thought I would buy a nice 125 to get some saddle time before the test, my last bike was a new DT125. So, I managed to find a lovely 1991 French import with just 4000 miles on the clock. It is totally original.

I am going to put Supermoto wheels and tyres on as it isn’t going off road.

yes, I had a dt50 in black with a big bore kit on it, it was the quickest bike at school. I gave that to my little step brother.

The colour scheme for this one is not for everyone but I like it.

my last one was Blue and really liked that.

me either, hardly any online pics of them online.

I don’t tend to ride fast, just exploring the lanes.

I had a Honda MBX50 tweaked and would do 65mph and got caught speeding on it at 16😂 £100 fine in 1983 and 3 points.

I had a dt50 when I was 16

Then got a tzr 125 when I was 17, loved it she would top an indicated ton 😁

My friend had an MBX 50, he lost concentration and rode in to the back of a parked car.

another friend had a tzr 125 as he was one of the first to get a job, he was a carpenter. He later had the power valve activated and he said his would go over the ton too.

The posh way was an electronic control valve that closed for low revs and opened for high revs

Mine was just locked open full bore, no power below 5500 rpm 😂 lol

The DT above has the "posh" power valve, it pulls from low down and revs cleanly to 10k, the French Bike’s don’t have the same restrictions that the U.K. stuff have.

Most we’re just flipped to full open.

That little dt is cool I’d leave the knobblys on it and explore some lanes now it’s dry out. Be a wicked little local commuter as well
