Billet output flanges arrived from Anembo. These were one of the things that went missing from my car. Last MOT they mentioned slight play in front bearings which was odd as all brand new. By chance I was talking to Stuart Day who also had a set of the same “WRC” uprights, same issue. He sent his off to some F1 engineer and it seems the hubs may have a very slight oval in the machining. He had inserts cut in which sorted it. May have to do that. Anyone else had the same issue?

Thanks, that would make sense as one of my bearing caps has witness marks where the back of the output flange has touched after I nipped it up. Did you have a spacer made or have any pics
I will have to get some or have mine re-machined.

I know there was a problem with a set in Basingstoke where the bearing was loose in the front hub. Guy had too have it sleeved so the bearing could be pressed in properly

yes, that is correct. I will get my 4 fully checked, they were made at different times
I dont know if they all had as issue but when Stuart mentioned the ones you refer to it reminded me of the MOT chap saying there was a tiny bit of play when they were brand new on mine.

according to the company Stuart had looking at them the bit where the bearing fitted was not perfectly round, also the output flanges they felt should be a press fit with a different radius on the leading edge. (If I understood what he was saying properly)
the other poster (Ruby) showed pics of spacers to me that he had made to pull the bearings up tight.
i know I have a little play in my fronts and I can see the output flange has slightly touched the bearing cap. I will be investigating further.

Long time no posting.
I got a bit bored and fed up cutting out stuff that wasn’t straight so have just tinkered on the car. I then bought some big bikes and had a lot of summer fun on. GSXR 600 that had done no miles since new plus a new RS660 Aprilia. Now the weather is bad I am back on the car and getting pretty close to finishing the remedial fabrication.
Next step will to build up up the rear end for the (hopefully) final time and see what jobs I need to do.

The GSXR was bought new in 2012 by a 70yr old bloke, it had done 2000 miles and is as it left the factory, I really love this bike and the red line is around 14,000 rpm.

When we where down at MK to pick up my beam, my mate Mark did question the quality of the work on your Peugeot and i thought he was being pedantic but I didnt actually look closely at it myself. He told me the boot floor and turret area was like a patchwork quilt with loads of little patches of metal welded in to fill up gaps
