beefy, there was a couple of pics of the sump in fast ford a long time ago, and i dont have the pics of it now, and i havnt taken any others.
as for the mounts, my mate welded them up for me, basically bolted a bush to the cross member, and a plate to the engine, got it lined up and welded a tube between the 2.
again, i dont think i have any pics of the mounts. will check tho.

my mate is coming round on sat to finsh welding up the seat mounts etc, and hopefully ill get the brakes fitted properly too
need to sell the 2wd brakes i have and the 4x4 rear discs to fund some ST170 front discs for the rears lol as the 4x4 discs are too small.
so if anyone is interested in some reconned with new seals 2wd front callipers, brand new mintex discs, brand new mintex pads, std 2wd rear callipers, used 2wd discs, brand new mintex pads, and some brand new 4x4 rear discs, let me know!

jacko, pm on its way
Paul, nice one fella, will be in touch!
as for the discs, i did think about that, or having the hubs machined, but that was before i got the discs on and found they arent big enough anyway. deffo needs at least a 300mm disc on there.

oh and ps, it was too fucking cold to piss about any more, and after having already been rained and snowed on today, i called it a day after that.
and luckily i did, cos as soon the garage door was shut, it started to piss it down

lee, the guys from caged that done the cage came over to do the welding.
yes it snowed tiny little flakes for about a minute, then rained
i also need to thank paul, costina who also popped over, to give me a screen for the dash clocks as mine is scratched badly, he wouldnt accept any beer tokens either - TOP MAN

its only taken me 3.5 years so far... lol
but now i can spend a bit on it, things are happening, if all be it a bit slow, its still 5x faster that when i worked for FF lol

Fudgey I notice in a couple pics your B&M shifter sits rather high....ive had the same trouble with mine, also had to hack up my transmissiom tunnel to clear it. What gearbox mount are you using? I ask because i've got a 909 mount in place and I wondered if it maybe that that's causing the height issues so was gonna try a standard mount again...but if your's is already on a standard mount then im wasting my time
#1070
stu, i havnt really seen any other cars to compare it to, so i dont know about the height issues im afraid.
as for the gearbox mount, its a cross between a T5 cossie bracket thats bolted to the gearbox, except on backwards, and a modified type 9 cradle and bush (you have to remember its not a cosse but a 1.6gl shell lol)
so mine doesnt have the slider bits etc.
on thing i do know about the shifter is that it took a HELL of a lot of heat to bend the lever the other way lol

Nah sod that...I know it's better for the box etc with its slow changing synchros but i love the clicky feel. I've never noticed other B&Ms 'swinging' the other way...I just assumed I was the only tight arse around here cutting corners

Hi Dan, its about time we spoke. but i will give you a small tip with your scrached dash plastic, if you still have it of course...
polish the scratch out with brasso it works, did it on my series1 and it came up mint after half hour of elbow grease.

lee, cheers for the tip mate, ill pass it on to paul, costina who swapped mine with his mint one.
it was quite a deep scratch tho.
cheers bud.
oh ps, the only progress to happen of late is that i have drilled the holes to mount the seats now, but not had chance to see if the seats actually fit

i have however been to preston hydraulics and got all the fitings for the fuel pump and filter sorted, just need to get the ferrels on the 2 lines in the car crimped and thats the fuel system done. was in there weds as well to get all the brake lines and fittings etc, but they couldnt work out what size the masters cylinders use lol.
i will make a trip over to merlin motorsport at combe for those i think tho.
very slow at the minute, but its fucking cold and dark out lol
