high comp is a nice buzz word that folk wank over, but the realitys different.
lower comp = higher boost = torque
dont matter how low the power is off boost anyhow, who the fook is under 3500 if trying to drive quickly, and the lairyer cams and headwork needed to get good power while not running the big boost lower comp would allow would fuck low down power a lot more than lower comp, and would raise the boost threshold too, something lower comp on its own dont really do.

well, its too late anyway
the pistons right about now should be having 1.5mm removed from the tops, and will give a CR of 7.77:1
also the new pisto rings should be on the their way to martin right now too
so hopefully ill get a chance to get back up to reyland next week and reassemble it!

so your at least would be 0.2 which makes no odds.
if he went high comp itd give little and take a lot away.

well, been a bit busy lately
martin helped me sort the engine out, so that all back together and i dropped it off at the lockup last thursday...
spent all day sunday putting the last few bits on the enigne, but no pics yet as that cunt pee vee still hasnt emailed me them over...
anyway, we got the engine all lined up in the bay, but the fookin engine mounts i had off a 2.8cvh sierra are toooo wide to fit the collins mounts in the cradle
anyway, back over monday night, got the prop and gearbox in then slapped the motor in too to get it approx in the right place, so my mate can come over and make up some custom mounts for it this weekend
while i was there, i temp fitted the inlet, ex manifold and turbo for good measure...
what ya reckon?

rad, i had to get an adaptor plate made up, that bolts to the head and then the manifold bots to the plate, as i said, when that cunt pee vee sends me the pics, ill show you
the ports all line up as near as dammit bang on!
