Those panels look spot on, what company did you take them to?

Everyone else I have spoken too about the clio have either said no get another Evo ( Evo owners) some have said that their mates have n/a clios and that they have more fun/time on track cause they don't break or cause issues. Scooby guys on 22b are more that sounds good and why not buy a classic Scooby. I'm gonna have a chat with a few guys at snetterton on 20th April and talk to my mechanic/friend and see what he says.

phoenix autosport did them he does alot for us guys over on rtoc

i think you just need do what you wanna do tbh, everyone will have a diff opinion and be biased towards what they own etc, all i will say is clios are really good out the box, with a turbo conversion and proper set up they are a great track car

I'm at work delivering and 2moz great fun lol.

I'm gonna drive at snet and talk to a few guys then choose, I have a banger to get to and from work and get around, we have a family car as well so could get away with doing the clio. It also depends on my daughter as she has arthritis.

It's only a r5 shouldn't take you long

Have you thought about doing the megane conversion? Is it popular now?

the only problem is i only get half day a week to work on it. My mate is hoping do a bit this week if poss.

if i ever go down the efi route then it would be for a 2.0 16v engine thats for sure.

they are getting rare now dont see many at all, shame really but the good thing is the owners now are biting the bullet and restoring them instead of reshell or scrapping

It would be a shame if there were no r5 turbos left, you don't see them on the road and even worse is fiat UNOs. Maybe one day ill get to see this at a show and have a chat but need to get my own car first lol.

People still want £2k up for a r5 and for that money you can buy something newer that you don't need to fix. How comes you only get half a day a week to work on it? If it was me I'd be working on it till late in the evening at at weekends I do get off I'd be up early lol.

I understand what you mean mate it's all good. I'm still thinking/working out what to do car wise, how far to take it, fwd or 4wd, full on track ( still drive to track) or road and track. How bad is traction on your car? How many peeps do you know that could mate a Evo 4 floor and turrets to a clio she'll or something stupid like that lol.

Parts aren't expensive for the r5 so good car to do and maintain.

one thing iv learnt down the years is you dont need massive power to have a good track car, just look at the clio 172/182, quick brake upgrade and suspension tweaks and they are fantastic.

traction is pretty good tbh but thats prob down to the choice of tyre, the r5's do seem to put the power to the road well, just look at the 1/4 mile times they produce.

christ mate that sounds like a mad project im sure theres people out there who can do it.

been up to the car for an hour today got a few jobs done and crossed off the list, fitted new gear gaitor, fitted new pedal rubbers and fitted the last bits of trim in the boot.

was hoping to get rear strut brace fitted but needed another pair of hands to help out, going whip the dials out and fit the new ones next week sometime

Is the rear brace not adjustable? What would you buy? A clio 172 and turbo it or buy a Evo 6/7?

Sounds like your disappointed you didn't get more done.

no matey its a solid one piece affair lol, i think a clio 172 on a budget low boost turbo conversion would be perfect fella.

yeah rather disappointed tbh would of been nice get the rear brace and dials sorted.
