Im the same. I'd like to try wheelie school too but not sure if theres much more they can teach you if you can already get the front end up, as its just a case of practicing and getting a feel for it which cant be taught imo.

Be interested to hear peoples experiences from this school though probably be a great day out with the lads!

I think you have a bar on the back of the bike at first to stop you flipping and get good control on the throttle

I'm a fucking pussy with wheelies and DESPERATELY want to learn

Its one thing i'm keen to do this year and have taken the first steps by going 2 teeth up on the rear to use power to lift. I'll try that and get used to the front coming up before learning to clutch it etc.

I'm not sure which is which but one school uses a wire that hangs from the back and if it touches the ground it kills the power and brings it back down. IIRC you can buy the kit too!

i've tried the off on throttle on my old cbr 6. Do it now on this bike and gearing and it'll go mental i reckon. Should lift on straight full throttle.

your mad jacko, i can wheelie all day long, its just about making your head believe everything is ok. Stoppies on the other hand! I cannot get my head around, it feels like the fkrs going to somersault! But once you have got your head around the balance point its a canter!

Oh i cant wait to get home........

I know the guy that owns this school personally, he's an old school mate of my cousins, only live ten minits away from me. Its a great day out, You use his 600 Bandits and the bar on the back is to cut the ignition to stop you flipping, He'll even do some stuff on your own bike if you want him to

Its based at east kirkby airfield, they do lots of drag racing down there throughout the year. Same lot that run the scooby shootout thing
