I Love my HP!!!!! Never had any probs with it etc.


Though gotta be honest the battery life is only 2hrs! but its more of a desktop replacment as quite powerful etc.

Acer are pretty competitive now a days. I have an HP NX5000 which I use for business use. Its hammered every day and nearly 2 years old and battery lasts for ever.

Poor old thing has so much crap running on it for programming telecom PaBXs' etc.

just got a new one today,Fujitsu seimens one, Ł580 on offer. its got the data card built in it so you can pay as you go while on the internet.

Good for when i work away.

Don't do nothing with them except browse the interet,don't know how to do nothing else thats why,lol, so it will be k for me.

cant beat dell laptops for business use. hp aren't bad either, mod use dell!

HP NC series every time. there's a reason they're a bit more expensive than a laptop of similar spec, aint it aint coz HP is a rip off..

i personnaly have an NC6000 and a TC1100 tablet and the nc6000 never goes wrong

the tablet is another matter tho, fucks up every other month

 

sony looks lovely but you are paying a premium for style and not equipment

if i had Ł2k ish to spend my money would go on a sony, but i dont

If ur always gonna be out and about and nowhere near a hardline or wireless network u can get GPRS cards and pay a monthly subscription thru most phone networks. You basically pay a set amount for so much bandwith then when u go over it u pay accordingly So basically like paying a phone line that ur laptop uses.

 

 

Its about 7X faster than a 56k modem,

1 example from vodafone but most of the other networks do it 2.

I got an Acer Ferrari notebook, it's broke 4 times in 12months, Acer support is crap, more like a Skoda than a Ferrari i'm telling you. My fault for being a poser i guess!

As said, you can connect the laptop to your mobile phone (if you have a GPS enabled phone) via bluetooth or USB data cable and connect to the internet using your mobile phone as a modem.

If you happen to be in an area where there is a wireless network being broadcast and it's unlocked you could log onto it. Failing that there is a way to do it, but it involves a big ass battery pack and a 14" satalite dish and a lot of fooking around Seriously.....
