As said, you can connect the laptop to your mobile phone (if you have a GPS enabled phone) via bluetooth or USB data cable and connect to the internet using your mobile phone as a modem.
If you happen to be in an area where there is a wireless network being broadcast and it's unlocked you could log onto it. Failing that there is a way to do it, but it involves a big ass battery pack and a 14" satalite dish and a lot of fooking around
