Default FAO: Breakers. Questions about car removal.

Hi guys, just after answers to couple of questions.

When you buy a car to break, do you buy as normal, using the "sold to trader" box?

when you have then broken the car do you just fill out who scrapped the shell (presuming you have it removed, or take it to a scrap metal place yourself)?

Do the dvla have a problem with all the cars going thru your hands briefly before being scrapped.

Do you need to be registered at all to be a breaker? Or is it the same as a normal trader? Thinking of the fluid desposal laws here really, or is that all down to the end of life people, ie the folks who actually destroy/crush/whatever the shell?

There's a bit on the new form, that says "If you've broken the car yourself, please enter the date here"

Thats the only bit I use, never had a problem. Only sent 2 cars to the crushers though....

Sent hundreds to the crusher (personly) put some of em in my name (if i have bought em of ebay or similar) and then send the log book back as srapped when they return it to me or just get the frag yard to stamp their name and addy in the new owners bit (if i have it) and tick the scrapped bit and send it off.

cool, so i can just wait for the logbook to come thru, put the details of the guy who takes the cars away (he normally gives me a card and thats stapled to the logbook) and send it off? thats great if so, wasnt sure if there was some kind of limit
