Injector for MF2 set up question.
Hello,
Im about to drill and tap my charge carrier to fit the pressure switch and injector for my Erl fifth injector set up.
The one on the right is what came with the kit, the on on the left is a spare fifth injector I have from a old manifold.
My question is, can i happily use the spare fifth injector in place of the beige and holder, as I can get it seated better and it looks tidier.

Always a pleasure!
Can I ask why you have gone this route instead of a full EFI setup? It's a fair bit of work and cost for what's only a half job IMO.
But yes you can use almost any suitably sized injector that you want.

I have seen and setup both style of injectors on the MF2 drivers. Personally I would use the EFi injector due to the flow pattern it should supply. However that will be the next question. Surely your not going to aim the injector at the opposite side of the charge carrier. It will end up in a pool of fuel just before the throttle body.
ideally needs to be placed on the sweeping bend flowing towards the throttle body.

I personally wouldn't use an old 80's/90's injector at all, go with something new for better atomisation, certainly as it's being injected a long way before the ports.

I understand everything you said but still see it a waste of money effort and time.
The MFi system shouldn't really be pushed to the point you would need the mf2 now days anyway.
Personally id run a boost level that the system can fuel without needing extra injectors.

On that ebay inlet, has someone just clamped fuel hose round the o-ring on the top of the injector? Surely that cant be sensible, it's a push-in fitting for a fuel rail
