I found it really good. My firm paid for mine but it aint to expensive. You get given an instuctor who you meet onece a week for around 2 hours ,you drive your own car around until you are good enough to put u in for your test. This is a fully trained traffic officer who normally still works in the police. Needless to say that doing it in the turbo was lets say "interesting" It also saves you money on your insurance

I did the IAM one and found it interesting. My firm reimbursed the cost of the test after I passed, and the company I work for now allow an extra Ł5 per month towards the cost of my car, so it pays more than the renewal cost!

http://www.iam.org.uk/

ROSPA also do one but you have to sit a retest with them every 2-3 years. Don't know if one is better than the other, but ROSPA grade your pass as Bronze, Silver, or Gold.

Deffo worth doing IMO Made me such a better driver

I did ROSPA and got a Gold award, IAM is just a pass or fail and i think the equivalent pass mark for IAM is the silver level for ROSPA.

I wish i did the IAM though because most insurance companies dont recognise the ROSPA advanced driving even though its harder to pass

HTH

Perhaps the reason why we have such horrible drivers here in the US is because we don't have any of these lessons or advanced license opportunities. You just read the book, take a test then drive around for a bit with a cop and they hand you a license...scary.

To be honest, not many go to the extent of taking these advanced lessons and tests, there must be another reason
