ST220 / X Type 3.0 V6 - Lambda sensor change questions!
Evening all,
My Dad has an 04 plate X Type 3.0 V6 which I think / believe is similar to the ST220 engine hence asking on here.
Fault code reader suggests Bank 1 upstream lambda sensor has failed - the one nearest the bulk head up on the exhaust manifold. Peaking in the engine bay, it looks like a PITA to remove due to limited access
Does anyone have any tips or suggestions to remove it? I've seen people suggest removing the inlet manifold, using a 22mm socket with a slot cut through it to allow the wire past, and some people using a special tool that allows better access to undo it.
If anyone's done the job and can give any kind of hints or tips that would be cool. Also seen Denso sensors at £100-150 and unbranded but still "Direct Fit" ones at £30. Do the £30 ones work?
Cheers in advance for any info,
Si

I've found that life I needed.. It's HERE!!
Even Ford is using 5-wire (wideband) oxygen sensors nowadays, at the very least on the diesels.
What's the exact fault code and/or the number of this code?
