Hi i noticed on my mk 5 escort Rs2000 that theres no heat blowing onto the windscreen and the problem is the heater ducting from the heater box to the dash vents onto windscreen is missing. Ive managed to buy new ducting for the car but i am struggling to get in behind the dash. Does anyone know if i have to take the dash out to replace this ducting or if theres an easier way to do it? Any help or advice would be really appreciated. Thanks.

 

id have thought it would be nearly impossible with the dash in, ive renewed the passenger vent next to the airbag before in a car i used to have and that was a right pain, why are they missing though? its not like they can just drop out

 

Hi thanks for replying. The ductings been missing since i bought the car. Its just the passenger side thats missing. Looks like il have to take the whole dash out. Thanks.
