to be honest dont worry what your graphs are telling you as regards your quarter mile time as the surface at pod is in a different league to normal road surface, and i think with the toyo,s warmed up slightly you might be supprised how much grip you have ,but id expect you to run in the 10s,
Also i presume you have a descent boost controller, then you may have to make it less aggresive in low down rpm, might help, just trial and error but im sure you will find the setup that suits you

Sounds great buddy.
Very interesting read.

I know Paul said when he drove it with traction control on in the wet, he was crapping himself.

im happy mate i dont expect it all to just happen it will take some time and fettling. i like the gtech, ive tested its accuracy at pod and its just about cock on, and it gives me repeatable comparable results.
i have a hks evc6 boost controller fully mappable boost but my wastegate spring is 1.4 - 1.7 bar ! this car does not do civilised lol
its all options i can just remove the smaller centre spring then i should be 1 bar spring and control it above that, im gonna get the r888s on and make sure suspension is set up good first so i get maximum mechanical grip then go from there, removing power is last resort

i still think you will be supprised if you warm the toyo,s up and let some pressure out,as that link to the other guys supra ,he seems to get good traction with simular power at the pod, anyway i wouldnt mind the engine in me escort lol

might be wrong but its a line lock so you can hold just the front brakes on independant of the rears just incase you need to 'warm' your rear tyres up

With the power he has he wont need it, just stand the brakes on full and use the engine to overcome the rear brakes, lol

i had a friend with a carlton who tried something similar to that, from where he was sitting it was the greatest burnout ever, until he realised it was his clutch burning not his tyres lol

it fits between the brake line to front brakes and acts as a valve, apply brakes and close valve, release brake pedal but front brakes still on ready for a burnout then just hit switch again to release front brakes, not cheap though Ł130 from the usa.

linelock will catagorically never ever be used with r888s, all i may do is a rolling burnout to heat them up. these are my summer road tyres

line lock is for drag radials.

We dont just do 200mph runs . You will want in-gear & launch figures surely. Only chance you will get to do a full bore 0-200mph.

Hes young & has no idea of what a fast car is about.

A well known youngster on here went out for a ride in JB's Saff & then sent me a PM telling me JB's car would eat mine as it was fast beyond belief. He believed that & so no point in saying anything.

FPMSL

Did JB not correct him? as he KNOWS your car is in a different league.

JB's sure does feel fast as fuck though, in fact some would probably find it quite frigethening to be in, I went out with him just to check his fuelling over etc once he got it back together and the way it goes sideways at 100mph cause it has utterly no grip makes it feel SO much faster than it really is.

Oh Rod, who is in heaven not quite yet,
hallowed be thy name.
Thy Cossie come,
thy will be done,
on earth as it is at Brunters.
Give us this day our daily belittlement.
And forgive us our opinions,
as we forgive those who drive RST's.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from Jap cars.
For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory. for ever and ever. Amen

JB got fed up breaking diffs all the time so only ever runs shite tyres now I believe, 10 quid a corner part worns etc, as you do on a 500bhp car

Plus its got loads of camber on a standard beam from being quite low.

JB likes the back of the car to be very fluid, moving around all the time, its more like a motorcross bike than a car really, lol

i think the 100 + mph acceleration is gonna be pretty uncomprehendable to some people without experiencing it.
