Its the compromise at this level of Torque & its a skill you will have to learn. I took my first clutch out in a few hundred miles the second in 1k then i got to grips with it . However dont expect anymore than 4k if you intend driving the car as it should be.

second gear now foot to the floor just leaves 2 fooking massive black lines lol but it is tameable 1/2 throttle acceleration in second gear and it grips good, id guess i just did 60 - 100 mph in about 2.5 - 3 seconds.
clutch feels perfect now fully engaged is when the pedal is half way up so definately shouldnt be riding at all although i have set the pedal quite high to be safe, its the best its ever felt tbh. fingers crossed im not overloading it when fully engaged but to get it in gear easily from a standstill i have to have the pedal within 2" from the floor so i think ive just gotta suck it and see now.
the mickey thompsons will test the clutch rod thats for sure

Mine is centre push & it was difficult to get it right with the triple. If its changed its bite point you may have cooked it already, remember you cant slip it or if you do it will go in seconds. I missed a gear comming into a round-about tried to engage gear & slipped the clutch it was cooked immediately. You have 650+ft-lb of Torque that can generate a lot of heat & in that respect carbon clutches are not as good as normal.
I was on my 3rd Triple before i mastered the art of using it with all the Torque on hand.

its 700+ lbft aint it rod with 632 lbft at the hubs ?

i forgot steve tbh g tech was sat on the sideboard
i want to see 20 - 100 range again but am not trying launching again yet clutch is getting a break from that for a little while as its working better than ever now its modded slightly
it feels like its gonna take off in 3rd gear its mental, even second although its spinning abit it doesnt spin up to the limiter now its accleerating quit hard and leaving fat blackys everywhere
i truely hail the r888s
i havnt adjusted the suspension at all and its proper squating now just due to tyre grip and pulling the arse down, pirelli were just instant spin to the limiter porsche n1 pirellis aswell
i dont care if they only do 1500 miles its worth it because when it comes together its awesome getting all them ponies down.
brunters is beckoning me

Karl,
Brunters is deffo the place for you to do your testing. No way on earth can you test your cars full potential on the road unless you have a very secluded place. Not worth losing your license mate

with all this clutch talk,
does any1 know how much the release bearing needs to push the fingers on a std cover plate to work with an ap 6paddle centre plate?
i need to buy a new maaster cylinder on my car and im thinking of going up a size but dont wanna go too big.
any ideas?

i physically couldnt engage my clutch fully with the pedal on the floor so i had to do something it wouldnt go in gear when cold with the car running ! so i adjusted the pedal and moved the slave a few mm forward.
i went just enough to get my clutch to engage when cold and then once its warm pedal rises a bit to nearly half way, i guess it changes slightly due to temperature still gripping 100% though i havnt seen slip ever.
does your clutch not engage fully then ?

2006 bugatti veyron does 0 - 130 mph in 8.94 seconds, mclaren f1 car does it in 10.24 so im happy at 10.6 for now, with more practice and hot tarmac i think i can get below 10 seconds on a perfect run.

Thanks for telling me my website is down the help desk is down also so will leave for a bit.
The figure you are after are 0-130 10.34 & 0-150 12.63 hope this helps.
My car would have had circa 800bhp at that time to give you an indication of where you are at the mo .

Circa = "in the region of"
And he is referring to the on gas figures as IIRC his car was only about 660bhp or similar off gas at that time.
It makes as much now off gas as it did when it set all the records on gas

fookin hell so hes got another 140 hp now then
if i get close to his old times id be over the moon, mclaren f1 pace in a road car for under £30k is an absolute bargain imo.

Beating one aspect of the veryon is easy, but matching it as an all rounder is the hard bit, lol
I'm taller than tom cruise for example, but i think most women would still prefer him

I had 670/680bhp + 150 shot of Nitrous back in 2005. Today on the new GTX my Power is around 860bhp off the gas give or take a few & we are going to splat a 100 shot of Nos on Top of that.

Dont be so hard on yourself, some women would prefer to have a 4" nail knocked into them by a 18 stone lump hammer, rather then a toffee hammer

the oil temp gauge hasnt worked since ive had the car and its hks so major £££ tax on parts
just a sensor for it is over £100
i got a universal one of ebay for £8 but it seems out by 40c
its 15c outside and it said 55c, i put it in a cup of water from the kettle so id guess 90c and it said 130c and holding it in my hand said 70c and i must be around 30c.
so im assuming its over reading 40c globally which if its accurate im prepared to live with i think as over £100 for a tiny little 2 wire temp sensor is fookin ridiculous imo lol
heres a comparison i just done of gtech whp measurements from my best supra and gtr run. both are taken from 3rd gear
