Default Are their any engine conversions a novice could handle ?

As the title states, are their any engines conversions that a novice could handle without to much problems. It does not have to be ford. An engine conversion that takes an every day car and transforms it.
I have a passion for performance cars and have always wanted to take on something like this.
Any recommendations ?

I was thinking nova/corsa with a c20 let to begin with.

have you removed and fitted an engine before? if not i would reccomend starting out simple, and just unbolting/bolting everything back together.
as said, nova's and corsa's are a good option for conversions, as theyve been done so many times now, there is info all over the internet, guides etc.

Puma 1.7 into Fiesta Zetec-S is very straightforward. There happens to be a handy 'how to' guide in the current issue of Fast Ford
