Right its in the main fuse box and there are 2 fuses on the end closest to the wing 1 is 30amp the other 10amp the lid just says rating not what they are for!!! Need to know as the 30amp one is all burnt and i found a thick bit of wire in car obviously to bridge! (saff 4x4 cossie)

i think it is for the rad cooling fans......im sure ive seen many like this over the years.

Ahhh that would explain the manual fan switch!

yes,im sure it melts the area in the fuse box over time and people re-wire them to a flick switch on the dash as a quick fix to ensure the fan will come on
