Default A surreal kind of day.....

Suicide, what makes people do this?

I never imagined for a minute today, that I would end up with my next door neighbour on my doorstop (with her mum in tow), in floods of tears, telling me that her boyfriend's father had walked into the garage this morning on his way to work and hung himself....

.... he leaves behind, a wife 3 grown children, one of whom has just graduated from University with honours, an 18 month old grandson whom he doted on and lots of friends, who will be, I presume, wondering what the hell could have been that bad to prompt his actions. I know I am.

RIP Richard Fox..... a good bloke and I hope you're in a happier place.

it's mad isn't it i had my bestest mate he was like a brother too me known him through alot of my school years, spent everyday together, then at 20 he hung himself at the flat i was sharing with him not 4 weeks after i left, i still think if i was there i could of stopped it but it's not nice, think you'll never no what going on in there head to make them do this kind of thing, i also feel very annoyed for what he did to everyone and all he had to do was talk, must be feeling the same for yourself esp with him leaving so many siblings behind .

deffo hardens you up, was devastating at the time though, but famous words time will heal i guess , hope your ok anyway it'll be a different place for a bit but all will settle eventually.

Desperation usually.

People who are suicidal are not seeing things from the same perspective as you. Their thinking can be very rational and they can have very rational justification for thier actions stemming primarily from the sheer rock bottom self esteem.

Yes thier thought process's are faulty but seem perfectly rational from thier perspective.

A lot of suicidal people are NOT being selfish as they see it. They will have worked out that killing themselves solves the problems they are part of. with thier self worth being soooo low they will be able to justify to themselves that no one will miss them and that nobody really loves them etc so hence no one will get hurt.

Some suicidal people will sabotage relationships before suicide to fit in with the justification.

Also some people commit suicide as an impulse reaction to extreme stress/trauma.

Its a complex subject and very hard to understand!

RIP

I sometimes think about this, what must be going through your head to want to commit suicide and kill yourself?

Terrible news, RIP.

R.I.P

When you at your lowets ebb,and you think about suicide you think by killing your self your solving problems as you have no self worth and you think the world be a better a place without you.

Your not being rational or thinking straight you just want the pain to end to yourself and the people you think your hurting.

Yes, the very same, am still sat here wondering why..... apparently he hated his job, but a job can be changed, and he had so much more to live for. He must have been in a dire position to do what he did.

Sad news RIP.

A very close friend of mine hung himslef last year & I feel really bad about it because I hadn't seen him for a bit & a few days before he done it I drove past his house & pulled over to pop in but I thought I'll pop back another day because when we get chatting we talk for hours on end & I didn't have much time that day.

I wish I had have popped in, I might have been able to help him out

RIP my good friend.

Sad news

It happens every day unfortunately, and in most cases, there are no signs.
