Try to keep a long story short
We had the car booked onto track at ford live Knockhill our first ever track day so weren't sure what to expect. We took the car out on track and it felt as if we were flying it was great but we only managed to get the 1 session and the engine developed a knock under load game over.
Managed to get the car home removed the sump and found shells worn crank scored and 1 conrod damaged due to heat. We think that when he was going round the corners the engine has suffered from oil surge due to the 1.8 Zetec sump not having any kind of baffle in.
The engine has been built for roughly 5+years and never had no problems being used on the road it's also done a few quarter mile days at York raceway and never went wrong then 1 session of a track day and it broke has any of the zetec turbo lads got any ideas on what we could do to stop this happening

If your not going to change to a external wet sump or a dry sump
Then just get hold of the black top two peice sump and remove the cast webs and fit it
They have a nice scrapper plate cast into them
It could do with a knife edge on it but other than that it ain't bad
