christian when paul was mapping at one point the engine was doing 368 @ 6592rpm i cant explain about the revs. i think a drop in the final drive is on the cards.

sid m8 when i saw your engine on the dyno making 318bhp at 18psi it made me Realize what is Achievable from a zvh with the right Components. also i did'nt want to Ditch the cylinder head after spending so much money on it. you've been looking at going bigger on the turbo front, its a choice between a gt series turbo or a t38. personally i would go down the gt series turbo route due to the low lag and the high volume of air they can push.
then what about a small shot of nos to get the turbo spooling up Instantaneously between gear changes

car going to take me a bit of getting use to, at times its down right dangerous

Yeah i can imagine that it'll take abit to get used too.

Didn't realsie that you saw mine on the dyno Sean. When would that have been mate? Was that the very first time?

Engine has seen lots of changes since then. This time isn't just a different turbo either. You know what it's like. I know what you mean about the GT Series turbos though.

sid you had posted a picture of your engine on a dyno and stated the power i did'nt actually see it in the flesh are you keeping it zvh or going 16v.. and where in the rev range did you engine produce peak power. i've been looking at dropping my final drive to a 3.58 or a 3.33 which will suit the engine Characteristics.

Still keeping it ZVH mate but the spec has changed some what. As said on a previous post it's not just a re-spec on the turbo. Ian has had the engine to play with so we'll see what happens.

I think the time you saw the engine on the dyno must have been in 2003 (late) but it was actually on there quite a few times. Had a few probs, injectors running out, valve springs failing etc.

The last run wasn't bad for the boost but and air leak caused the session to end. Hopefully this time things will be a little different.

I assure you john I don’t suffer from wheel since zoo Motorsport made me a custom gearbox cradle which has dropped and angled the engine slightly to aid traction, plus a set of his fully adjustable and rose jointed lower wishbones, you can adjust camber as well as castor. suspension and arms setup by Karl bromley.
