this gives you an idea of space even with all the crap in there theres loads of room to get round the car

all the fire board is in other than the corners as the council want to see thats its doubled up to give 1 hour protection, thats to go with the cement board thats going on the out side

My mate Rick finishing of the muck work hes worked like a mad man all week even in the pissing rain

the outside is now covered in the vapout barrier and I should have it battenen out for next weekend,
Anyway im off out in a bit for a bit of 4x4ing as all work and no play makes Matt a dull boy!!

I have run all the cables for the lights and as soon as the scokets turn up I will run the cable back to the consumer unit although I still need to get one first!!

Yeah mate a fellow RS owner made them, the guy that ownes k38fmc in fact!
Fuck knows mate it's just been one inspector that's the problem,Harris by name Harris by nature lol,
it's quite funny as I had my brother (general builder) doing the prep for the slab and he had to call Mr Harris, he was a condescending cunt down the phone because he thought he was talking to the me ( home owner) but totally changed his tune when he saw a 14stone shaved head bloke covered in tats lol, not seen him since as my brother was pretty direct with him

if it was me and i was confident i was right, id tell the inspector to fuck right off and complain to the council. Im sure they have other inspectors who actually know the rules.

surely the regulations are written down black and white, so surely you either complied or you didnt. theres no room for movement surely.

There's enough room atm for 2 cars but once the ramps in then I think there will only be enough space for 1 but that was the plan all along to have entry of space for working on the cossy without risking damaging it and having to keep moving it about to get to one side or the other if you get me

Well the ramps just been fitted and thought it best to try it out
so stuck my brothers motor on there

I'm well chuffed its something I have wanted for a while,
Pretty much all the cladding is done, other than the front as I am looking at my options for the doors as the ones my mate made me are a pain in the ass to use.
Cant decide wether to make them work of to fuck them off and get a roller shutter the thing thats putting me off the roller shutter (other than the money!) is they look a bit industrail.
so now all I have left to do it plumb the sink in lay some rubber workshop flooring tiles, finish boarding the inside, have a tidy up, slap a bit of paint about and i'm done ready to rip the cossy to bits and make it better than ever

well done matt,looks well mate
i have fitted a electric insulated roller shutter door and i would highly recommend it ,its really sturdy once its down and all the sections have locked into eachother ,their is no way you would kick it in and it cant be pry[sp] barred from the bottomm as the motor holds it in place ,available in loads of colours .
have to get mine finished now ,going slabbing it tomorow with a mate of mine

I paid Ł1500 all in fitted etc do not bad really and already I don't know how I lived without it lol
Love this thread, love this garage!
How high can you get a car in there before it hits the roof cross beams? I guess you could park something underneath if you have a car cover and thus fit two cars in? Plus the suspension/tyres won't be under load when it's not being used...?

I can get the focus and cossy in there sort of
I have just about 6ft under the car at full lift including the land rover discovery so it's just enough for me!

cheers
it is although I could have done with it being a little wider
thats pretty much how I feel about it
not sure about it being "Kinky" I like to think of it as FUCKINAWESOME!!!
Just waiting of some better prices for an electric roller shutter door then I can sort tiling the floor and THEN! get all the shelving/storage sorted how I want it, but in the mean time Is in use with sorting the cossy out
