if it was me and i was confident i was right, id tell the inspector to fuck right off and complain to the council. Im sure they have other inspectors who actually know the rules.
yeah you'd think so, but tbh its easier to just go with it when it makes no real odds to overall price, +I will be complaining once its all done and signed off
