Magnetic sump plug.. Thanks MSD...
Evening,
Right got round to swapping all my standard hoses over to black silicone hoses :thumb: today, also used all my lovely new Mikalor clamps:woohoo: I'll post up pics later.
Right down to business, a while ago I bought one of those magnetic sump plugs and at the time I thought at the time a waste of money really but I'll give it a go.
Now I'm so glad a did as at the moment as you maybe aware I am running in a new engine and today did the 500 mile change(already did one change at 250 miles), well here is the proof that they work.....
It should look like this.............
:approve::approve::approve:
I couldn't believe it when i first pulled the plug out.....

Yeah mine was the same when running in my engine, very handy
The Makilor hose clamps i'm sorry to tell you are a wate of money and should not be fitted, because of their design they do not seal the hose properly and you'll have boost leaks everywhere
Christian at APT pointed this out when looking over my engine bay last year, I changed them for what I can only describe as double width jubilee's and gained about 7psi of boost, had to turn it down! lol

I cleaned my old engine very thoroughly when I assembled it and my sump plug looked like that after it's first oil change. Worthwhile, little mod.
