hi just fitted a new engine in my escort rs turbo first gear turbo kicks in, 2nd ,3rd, 4th gear is not holding the power (flat) as if its holding back any advice would be great?

it has a t3 turbo accuator and boost valve the car anay one had the same problem

 

any help with this problem will be great

 

is she chipped?

 

make sure u have no air/boost leaks from any of the pipes, are u still using the amal valve?

 

think she is chipped (rs collins 200bhp)

 

I still use the amal valve but screwed closed at the min, but when opened it drives ok but when I slow down it cuts out

 

 

get her setup!? FUELLING MAYBE!?

 

Take it to someone that know's what they're doing?

Cuts out? Does it idle ok?

 

May sound like a stupid thing to say,but run a bleed valve and see if it does the cut out still.using a bleed,make sure you got a boost gauge so you dont run stupid boost.
Your amal valve shouldnt have a screw of any kind on it.all hoses should flow air.wish i could help more on the amal valve but ive never had one since owning a rs.

 

I think his thing with the screw IS his bleed valve.

Take it to someone who knows what they are doing, before its too late. Is this a NEW NEW engine? if so try running it in.
