Default Got me wondering..

Just been thinking back to when my rs was set up,no faults were found.but once on road it would misfire like mad.but never happend on dyno. They basically thought i was talking crap.so i changed spark plugs, all sorted after finding the correct plugs.anyone know why this wouldnt happen on dyno? They not push the motor as hard?as on road it get abused more, making the spark plugs blow out on boost.
Whats your views?

Since then ive not gone back to the tuner.useless.

I think the car is never quite under as much load on a dyno as on the road, there is no drag for example as the car isnt actually moving, thats why boost curves often look laggier than they are in real life.

With that said then, that mean you could be running more power on the road than what a dyno will give? Lol

lol
No, because BHP is calculated from the torque applied to the rollers by your wheels and this is no different to when you are on the road, peek power is also not were you make peek boost, so you may make boost a little later but this will not effect your final BHP.

seems strange they wouldn't suggest the plugs. first thing jano told me when i went to get the car mapped was to go Burton and get some good plugs, champion something or others.

Exactly, they didnt even check plugs.think ian was having a bad day.poor services.didnt even crack a smile.i had alot of respect for them until then.driving it home, found myself reving the car in traffic,as was trying to stall.next day exhaust valves hit.found the pistons covered with fuel deposits.and also found the boost up to 22psi.i was straight on the fone to them.they set it up again free of charge.wasnt until then i changed the plugs.
