don't know about the rear disk conversion bit give oilman a ring at opie oils. he'll recomend you which oil to get and confirm whether or not 10w50 is the right viscosity.

Rear disc conversion can be more hassle than its worth on mk4 escorts. Most people buy brackets to hold the caliper then get saph cossie rear discs and calipers with a mk5 rs2000 handbrake cable.

If you are going for disks on the back then it may be worthwhile piping in a bias valve. You don't want the rears locking up on you during hard braking and spinning the car unnessecarily.

What power are you running and are these really needed or just for looks?

Approx 250bhp they are really needed as my willwoods are crap for some reason plus I would like them for looks too

Any ideas on what the problems could be with them I thought with willwoods they would be sharp snappy and powerful but I have to almost put my foot
Thru the floor to stop I'm thinking of changing for bigger up front but need to know if I can use bigger discs on these calipers as someone said I could but not sure how to find out
If this is true or not

could be to do with the master cylinder mate. Is it a original cabriolet one in there? reason i ask is i got non abs master cylinder and lines in mine but with the cossie brakes i found my foot going to the floor so got a series2 master cylinder and that apparently helps things as its a 25mm compared to the cabriolets 22 or 23mm. Hiope this helps a bit.

try bleeding the lines again or checking for leaks cos maybe a beake pipe has corroded. As i said get it checked first to make sure its ok before moving on to the rear. Is your fluid level topped up to where it should be..

I had them fitted at Jamport and I did noitced a difference straight away as for the fronts I've got standard size tarox g88 discs with ebc pads and in total the brakes are fine. nice cab by the way.
