Ebay, roller cvh follower quoted for rst.
i've emailed the seller to say they dont work on any cvh's other than a 1.8 cvh.
But there reply is he runs it in his zvh, and no problems after a week.

interesting these, i wonder how effective they are at helping reducing cam wear.
its pretty obvious why they weren't fitted as standard- more to manufacture at a guess- wonder how well they wrk though

The 1.8cvh was a crap engine so why would anyone put parts from a crap engine into a good one
Why haven't top engine builder in the past never used them?
I wouldn't use them
He's just using them as a sales pitch

I have discussed this with him. It is Jacko on this forum and he also has a for sale post in the part section.
Wrong IMO. They don't work and will cause problems. I pity the poor fuckers that buy them is all I can say.

roller followers
Roller followers have been used in Canada since 1987. There are a few different camshaft profiles. One profile comes very close to the Newman turbo camshaft (opening and closing events). However, the roller lifter MUST be used with the roller camshaft, as the lobe is hard steel that is ground specifically for a roller follower. These lifters will not work with a standard solid or hydraulic camshaft. I have pics of the roller follower camshaft in a previous post I made.

we use auto-adjustable hydrolic roller lifters w/ hydrolic roller cams in 1991 to 2002 ford escorts here in the states (1.9sefi and 2.0spi CVH's) you might see about getting on www.ebay.com the us ebay and trying them out.. you should be able to get them cheap.. but from what i hear.. using these style lifters on a solid cam is not good

I think the seller tripped over them and thought they would be a good idea and bought a few sets. He is now prepared to say anything to get rid of them.
