Default SORN

im going to have to sorn my car for this month as its not worth renewing as until i get the metering head, book it in, get it back it will probally be 2 weeks through the month.

At the end of the month how do i go about taxing the car? Do i need a new form to complete?

Taken for DVLA

As long as the details of the registered keeper of the vehicle are correct and you have a valid new style MOT Test Certificate/GVT Test Certificate (if applicable) , you can apply for a tax disc on our website or on the telephone. If you are unable to use this service, you will need to apply for a tax disc at a licence-issuing Post Office ® or DVLA Local Office (as applicable for the vehicle) using the reminder or the Registration Document/Certificate together with the relevant evidence and fee.

Once it sorned it won't affect anything, its the same as taxing it come renewal time

Hows things going then?

Ah ok........you won't actually need to change the whole lot, you can just unbolt the bit the pipes attach to, instead of changing the whole thing.

(wish i knew that years ago )

It can't be that much mate

its annoying me. My cars sat outside. doing nothing. My neighbours must laugh their arses off.

im not going to fork too much out, i'll do it bit by bit, if its not the metering unit then i might book it into the body shop for a small resto...doesnt need much....arch, scab on back panel, 2 new inside wings and floor pan and cross member.
parts are cheap on flea bay, works out to £160...then i can have all the work done by the company who did my old S2
(spent £2000 on that shell) he also sprays cheap so might not need a body shop....might give him a bell.

then if its not the metering head i might replace all the fuel lines, injectors and engine.

work then wont it
