could be overspray, which clay doesnt remove if its really heavily oversprayed.

Did you use any water when claying? Fold the clay bar over to a clean side etc etc

how long did you spend on each panel, say for example the roof?

other than over spray as mentioned, theres not much else it could be other than not using the clay enough?

Hi Fezzajsy

It does sound like overspray. Can you tell me your exact procedure when you you were claying please? Also, did you find the clay bar collecting a lot of crud?

as mr elite is on here.i wont really need to say much.

but i have never had any issues getting over spray off with clay.if you soend enough time doing it,and use a good clay you should get great results.

i never use clay with normal water either.and if its this time of year i have a bowlof hot water to leave the clay in when im not using it(too keep it supple)any chance to go cold and hard and it WILL scratch.
i use quite a bit of the detailer, and also you need to spray it on the clay not just the the panel.

doing a proper clay is so very important.prep is always the most important thing imo.so a good time claying will give a better result when you finish with your wax etc.

im wondering if you are keeping it supple enough,as if this isnt done then it wont "pick up" the containinants

Nail on the head.

He might not need to use G3, G3 is pretty harsh, its worth him trying something less abrasive first.

Hi BM

Marring can be a number of things. It's basically a defect in the paint though. i.e swirls, etching and scratches as such.

You can get marring from a number of things really, incorrect washing, incorrect claying procedures, using dirty clothes on paintwork etc.

To fix marring, you will require an abrasive process. i.e

Regs

The guide is being made as we speak.

You can use it for the inside of your wheels when you want to get them looking good again. Don't reuse it on your bodywork though.
