Default Stud kits/head gaskets

Hello and thanks for looking! i am going to be doing a head gasket soon due to some head work and just have a couple of questions i need help with! I have a 4x4 with forged low comp pistons with valve cut outs stg3 greens etc running on a grp A head gasket i would like to go to the next level ie bd14 inlet cam bd10 exhaust double springs and a go on the flow bench but when i put it all back together i would like to stud the block and use a wrc gasket (head gaskets are no probs but never done a stud conversion before) my questions are 1: Does the block need to be machined for the studs? 2: can it be done in situe? 3: is it as simple as just bolting them in!!? I am not in a ruch as i am collecting the bit as and when i have to money but i would like to be clear in my head before i go to far! Thanks for your help :top:

A basic stud kit will simply screw into the block,so yeah it can be done in situe. You have to torque them into the block aswell. Make sure the block and head are spotless and level/flat as the wrc gaskets are quite unforgiving.
