Its the older version of the Endura turbo diesel (1753cc), just had a new headgasket, headbolts, timing belts, glow plugs and water pump fitted. It was running as it is in the video. Changed the injectors and pump from a known good engine and made no difference. Compression should be between 28 and 34 bar. A cold compression test showed
cyl1 @ 33bar
cyl2 @ 34bar
cyl3 @ 34bar
cyl4 @ 35bar
Fitted a piece of clear plastic tubing between the fuel filter and pump to check for bubbles and cant see any. Takes about 10 seconds of cranking to start regardless of wether its hot or cold and wont start at all unless the accelerator is depressed. Wont idle unless accelerator is held depressed about 1/3 of the way. Will rev and sounds like it going right the way up to 4500+rpm.
if endura about r reg ish every one i ever worked on is like this, ok in the summer cold weather comes along cranks loads give it 2 heats ie listen for the click of the glowplug relay coming off twice not the light on the dash this should help
check for broken diafram in hand primer these can cause problems also what condition are your leak off pipes from injectors mine had a leak and caused simlar problems the pipes looked ok to eye but was leaking i changed them and it sorted it.

Did you see how far the 'throttle' has to be held open just to get the engine to idle, even if I let the glow plugs heat up a dozen times the engine will literally crank untill the battery dies without starting unless I hold the throttle 1/3 or more open and even if I hold it open untill the engine heats up as soon as I let it off the engine will stall. I have a P100 with the same engine on 167,000 miles and it starts first turn of the key regardless of what time of year it is.
Fuel return pipes on the injectors are brand new also.
have you checked the pump timing on the belt? incase the pump isnt timed up properly
The timing on these engines is idiot proof if you have the locking kit, you lock the crank, cam and pump and after that its pretty much impossible to f**k it up.
