Default Zetec dipstick tube?

Hi All, Just a quick question, Does the dipstick tube need a rubber seal on the bottom where it fits into the block on a 2.0 blacktop zetec? I removed the tube but there is no seal, Just want to make sure as it feels loose and i dont want it to leak.

Cheers
Si

I would have thought there should be a seal on it. You sure the seal isn't still inside the hole in the sump?

I cannot remember seeing a seal when i rebuilt the engine but all sorted now hopefully, I rang the local ford dealer and they said there is definatly a seal missing so i ordered one.
