1. What head gasket do you use? Where from? Burtons? Focus RS I think? I have a standard Ford CVH on mine buts mines only a 1800 and its not big enough for a 2.0 but I think a Felpro is but quite alot of people dont like them.

2. What head bolts do you use? Where from? Burtons? Yeah burtons non-stretch.

3. What Oil pick up do you need? 1800 zetec

4. What Oil pump? 1800 zetec

5. What Oil filter? CVH

6. What cam belt? CVH with 1300 cvh tensioner

7. What alternator? CVH with MK4 Bracket and CVH Bottom Pulley

8. What sump? 1800 zetec as it gives room for the down pipe and suits the oil pump and pick up.

9. What starter? CVH

10. Anything else you know that might help, would be outstanding.

11. CVH water pump with a plate over the existing zetec hole as its too big. If you need to see mine then let me know.

12. CVH fly wheel with the holes made 1mm bigger to take the zetec flywheel bolts.

13. Oil return on the sump.

14. Breather bloked off at the front and a new one drilled in the back. Turbo gets in the way other wise.

15. Early MK3 engine mount with modifed bracket bolted to the block. Only two holes will line up. Corner needs cutting off and a new peice welded on the other corner. Then a hole drilled for the bolt hole.

Think thats it?!?!?

Yeah my cambelt has snapped.

Bent all four exhaust valves and a couple of inlet ones but I wanted to change the head anyway so could be a blessing in disguise, as the pistons survived with only very minor marks on the top.

Got a head in Jamsport at the moment so should be back on the road early part of next month hopefully.

So if you did want to look at my engine then nows a good idea as theres no head on it so its easy to see every thing.

1. What head gasket do you use? Where from? Burtons?
felpro from burtons or see simon snail aka sas and get one of his gaskets which i am currently using.

2. What head bolts do you use? Where from? Burtons?
head bolts from burtons

3. What Oil pick up do you need?
standard pick

4. What Oil pump?
standard 2.0L oil pump

5. What Oil filter?
1.8 zetec

6. What cam belt?
standard cvh but change every 10.000 miles due to the distance the cam pulley and tensioner is away from one another which puts the belt under more stress.

7. What alternator?
standard cvh but if you are using the 1.8cvh crank pick up then use the 1.8cvh alternator and bracket

8. What sump?
1.8 zetec if you are using the rs turbo manifold if tubular with the turbo over the gearbox then you can use either sump

9. What starter?
standard cvh because you should be using the cvh gearbox

10. Anything else you know that might help, would be outstanding.
cant think of anything at the moment

thanks

sean

Thanks very much
