Default Speedo wobble?

i think alot of fords have this problem, mine does it mostly at 40-50mph then after 60 and above it doesnt wobble, anyway what part does it need to cure it?

Best way to find out, fit a new cable first being cheapest and easiest (I believe yours could be a two piece item) and if it still wobbles then you know its your bearings, but 9 times out of ten, its the cable.

beofre you owned it?

also put a bit of oil in the cable before you renew it, even cheaper than a new cable

Mine just started doing this too, I hope it is the box and not the cable! Mine is on its way out and the diff whines when it comes on boost so time to put the CTS one back in, dont fancy changing the cable too

I removed the speedo cable from my bird's mk6 escort a few months back when i broke it for spares, it was a BASTARD to get out, never mind getting it back in again!
