Cheers! She's still having a few bits and pieces done. I'll drive it in winter no problem when it's ready!

Thanks! Not been on the dyno yet, been so busy lately haven't had time to do much with it. It's basically the same spec as before so should do the same sort of figures I would think.
Been following yours by the way, great work!

And yes, it's a little smaller than I wanted but considering it hardly goes anywhere it should be fine!

I was going to say that would be a good spectacle. Is yours running at the minute? I'm planning to run up the strip at Central Day, Pod in April.
And when you say proper, do you actually mean a boat anchor

Very nearly YB'd my car but wanted something different. Plus it would have been compared to your all the time.
And afraid I don't do much for Classic Ford magazine anymore, aside from the odd story. I now work for a BMW based magazine

It's always going to be compared to yours, there aren't many Mk2 Cortinas done to the level ours are.
And yes, did consider a blown straight-six...briefly
P.s. You too mate. I'm planning to hit the strip a few times this year and do all the usual shows including Classic Ford so would be good to have a chat. And compare notes
